Freeze Drying and Framing your flowers

We can oversee every detail of the process from start to finish.

Initial Consultation of your needs

The options are limitless. You can choose to preserve a single flower from a special occasion, a floral tribute, or a bridal bouquet. Adding invitations or other memorabilia can be a nice touch to make your design unique.

Preparation of your flowers

Give your flowers some water and refrigerate them after the wedding or event. Bouquets can be put in a vase of water or in a plastic bag with some water in it. Please remember: DO NOT FREEZE YOUR FLOWERS! 

Drop off or ship your flowers 

This should be within a couple days. Remember the condition it arrives in will determine how well it preserves. If you are in the upstate New York area, drop off can be arranged even on Sundays. If you are outside of New York, you can ship it. Please see the FAQs for more information.

Freeze drying your flowers

Once we have the flowers, we will freeze dry them and re-arrange them. Some flowers do not freeze dry well, such as chrysanthmums. alstromeria, plumosa fern, and sometimes stephanotis. If they are dried beyond rehydration, they can be replaced at the customer's cost.

Choosing a frame and background 

Custom Display Designs is your link to select your frame. Sizes of frames or containers vary from 5x7 to 16x24 depending on the size of the flowers and memorabilia you are including. We can help you pick the best frame and background for your flowers and design aesthetic.

Day of the Event

If you need help on the day of your event, we can:

• create gorgeous arrangements
• set up for local drop offs and pick up
• protect and handle your bouquet
